” I started out by placing the Motion 60XTs in the same position I use for my usual Revel F206 speakers: front baffles 38 inches from the wall behind the speakers, with the speakers placed eight feet apart and nine feet from my head when I sit in my usual listening chair”

” The bass on HE-560 can hit low, with authority and impact. It is also quite fast and tight, presenting a very good amount of detail. What I love about it is that sometimes it surprises you when it seems to appear from nowhere and it shows you how deep it can go and how hard it can hit. It’s very well integrated in the rest of the spectrum and gives the sound a fast and energetic sound signature, keeping the sound on the neutral side.”

Cavalli Audio Liquid Lightning 2T $4250 REVIEW

“Instead what I heard were a very organic and real sounding vocals (both male and female) that were able to really pull me into the music and keep engaged. Amplifiers like the Stax SRM-727II or SRM-007t had a bit of a haze in this area and somewhat of a mid-range withdrawal that over time seemed to put a wedge between me and the music. Thankfully both Cavalli amps don’t suffer from this and offer a portrayal of the music that just keeps you coming back for more. –

” As is Grado’s way, these are absolutely not bass monsters — opposed to what has become the standard these days of a bump in the upper bass. We tend to prefer a flat sound, yet even we found the Grados sounding not exactly bass light but certainly lean.”
Penaudio Charisma Review

” As for the position I advise you to use 70 cm floor stands. I also advise to keep the Charisma as distant from one another as you can. There is no need to point them towards the listening point and they have to be at at least one meter from the back wall. They can play also close to the back wall and the side walls but in this case the mid low range can be excessive. The loudspeakers can also be pointed toward the listener and in this case you have just a bit more of high range but the sound stage is less wide.”

” Sadly the E5 does not come with any lightening connectors or short OTG cables so you will have to source that yourself or use the one your iGadget or Android device came with. The smaller micro USB port to the far right is used for either charging the E5 or for interfacing as a DAC/AMP with your pc or laptop or mac of choice.”
VIOLECTRIC V281 REVIEW

“If you’re looking for a top class solid state amplifier that offers dual Single Ended headphone outs and one 4 pin XLR Balanced out, this could be just the amp for you. But there’s more: there’s an optional remote control and the V281 can serve as a pre-amp too. It maybe isn’t the most elegant looking piece of hardware like the V200 was, but once you’ve listened to the superb balanced out, you’ll be hooked. I’m even changing my non balanced headphones to balanced ones.”
Peachtree Audio deepblue2 Table-Top Bluetooth Speaker

The problem is, just about any bluetooth speaker I’ve experienced doesn’t have near the room filling authority of the deepblue2—the Bluesound Pulse might be the exception, but even it doesn’t have quite the bass extension as I remember it. I’m getting a little ahead of myself here, but my point is that for the first time I was able to encourage visitors to connect up to a bluetooth speaker and not have the audiophile in me feel like we were sacrificing a satisfactory listening experience in the process.”
