B.M.C. AUDIO CS2 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER REVIEW

” You aren’t listening for the detail or defining the soundstage. You are listening to music, as a complete and contiguous whole. It’s like it manages to combine the grace of a good valve amp with the power of good solid state. That combination of effortless power and a lot of respect for the music makes the CS2 the perfect foil for some of the larger, more demanding, and great sounding loudspeakers out there. They brought my Wilson Duette Series 2 to life (but that’s not really difficult), they brought Avalon Transcendents to life (a much harder proposition, especially in a small room), and practically everything you could put on the end of this amplifier sounded like it should.

Pro-Ject Classic Xtension 10 Evolution Turntable Review

“One area in which the Pro-Ject came up aces was in its treatment of less-than-pristine LPs: The Extension 10 and BlackBird rendered groove and surface noise utterly innocuous. Though it wasn’t necessarily the quietest ’table I’ve ever heard, it had a way of softening the edges around groove and surface noise enough for those artifacts to sound separate and nearly absent from the music”

” The price point to get good sound audiophile sound has oftentimes been a significant barrier. Thanks to SVS, not any more. If you’re an audiophile or home theater lover on a budget then look no further than the SVS Prime Bookshelf speakers. While the Prime Bookshelf speakers don’t do everything perfectly, the overall performance of these speakers at this price point is just crazy.”

” So often memories make things sound better than they actually were, but I was delighted to find that it sounded even more beautiful than I remembered. I was very impressed with how these amps and my Teresonic let the beauty and tone of this recording come through. Both the violin and the piano sounded very natural and the right portion of sound one to the other. You could hear the space in and around the instruments nicely and the decay and attack were spot on.”

FLARE AUDIO R1 REVIEW

“The Flare Audio Reference R1 headphone, while being a great listen after some getting used to, still feels somewhat like an incomplete product to me. Almost like a prototype. If Flare Audio can fix the comfort issues with this headphone (and it seems they’re already working on it) as well as get rid of that all-encompassing veiled sound, I think they would have a real winner on their hands. At £499.00, or about $750 USD”
