The packaging is absolutely first class, even with white gloves included for smudge free handling! The TM3 is simply stunning out of the box. Its Rosewood finish is top class, and the construction is superb. The binding posts are also of excellent quality. The whole appearance is of a bespoke, classy product commensurate with its price and beyond. By the way, three other finishes are available, including Espresso, High Gloss Black, and High Gloss White.’

” Near the end of this review, I received from Kevin Deal of Upscale Audio an octet of KT150 output tubes for audition as he wanted my impressions compared to the KT120 that I used for my review of the PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium HP power amplifier. Well, the KT150 corrected the gripe I had with the KT120: a slight loss of midrange smoothness and corresponding increase in muddiness. Not only is the KT150 smoother and more detailed, but more musically involving, more transparent, more bass impaction, and more everything else that is musically important, which the Carbon 7 SE and the rest of my system were able to demonstrate.”

“Even during complex passages in the recording, all the instruments are placed precisely when within the space of the speakers, making it really easy to pin point different instruments used in the recording. This amplifier also has very good dynamics, making loud and soft passages easily distinguishable. When cracking up the speakers to a really high volume, the amplifier starts to show its limitations, making the Focal 1027Be hard sounding, losing out on its natural tonality when playing recording with instruments.”
