BOSE QC35 REVIEW

“I used the QC35 for a month flying back and forth to the UQ as well as on various trains and buses and the range of sounds that are blocked out make traveling much more of a pleasure. The thing I liked most was that it just seemed more refined and interfered less with the sound reproduction of your music than with previous generations.”

TELOS GNR Active Grounding Box Review
November 6, 2016 Comments Off on TELOS GNR Active Grounding Box Review
“TELOS suggests connecting as many components to the GNR as is possible, and when doing so, you can connect a component more than once. They also say not to use more than two cables per post and to keep digital and analog separate—meaning you could use up to 12 cables and even more components (some of the supplied cables have a single spade at one end with double RCAs at the other). They also say one should not connect the TELOS to the AC ground at any outlet nor to connect the unit to the negative terminal on an amplifier”

FOCAL SOPRA NO1 $8,999 REVIEW
November 5, 2016 Comments Off on FOCAL SOPRA NO1 $8,999 REVIEW
“Dynamics and loudness, of course, are not the same thing and one has to be reasonable about how loud you ask the Sopra No1s to play. The fairly small size of my room may explain why I was usually able to achieve satisfying volume without a sense of stress, even with music meant to be experienced at attention-getting dB levels—hard rock”

Wadia a315 Stereo Amplifier Review
November 5, 2016 Comments Off on Wadia a315 Stereo Amplifier Review
” In 1985, Men at Work released their third album, the largely ignored Two Hearts. I think it’s well recorded, and through the Wadia a315 it sounded mostly devoid of the early-digital harshness of so many CDs of that era. In “Maria,” Colin Hay’s voice jumped confidently onto the soundstage after a brief intro of maracas and effects-laden guitar, then lingered clearly in its own space with just a bit of reverb. Hay’s voice is not bass heavy, but his slightly raspy sound as he strains for the higher pitches was presented clearly in a nice contrast to Renée Geyer’s silky-smooth voice blooming atop the sounds from the rest of the band. ”

FITEAR TITAN & CAMPFIRE AUDIO VEGA IMPRESSIONS REVIEW
November 5, 2016 Comments Off on FITEAR TITAN & CAMPFIRE AUDIO VEGA IMPRESSIONS REVIEW
” Bar none, these are the most z-axis detailed earphones I’ve ever heard, and surpass even Campfire Audio’s Andromeda. Listening to them was like looking at a composite macro image for the first time, picking over myriad manufacturing defects and dust invisible to the naked eye. The problem I have is that, while I had fun listening to my music, I was listening way more to the earphone.”

Brinkmann Audio Bardo Turntable $9,900 REVIEW
November 5, 2016 Comments Off on Brinkmann Audio Bardo Turntable $9,900 REVIEW
“The presentation of the Bardo is indeed unique. Record after record has an ease and freedom from fatigue, again because of the excellent speed accuracy this table offers. Friends with canine hearing claiming perfect pitch that can hear a plethora of speed issues on every table I’ve ever reviewed were not only dead silent listening to the Bardo but they were also outright complimentary. Violins take on a magical realism with this table because of that speed accuracy.”
