Chord 2Qute $1299 Review
March 27, 2017 Comments Off on Chord 2Qute $1299 Review
” As a reviewer I get to listen to products in all different price ranges from the affordable to the ultra expensive statement products. Never with any Chord product that has been in my listening room have I ever been disappointed. The Chord team continues to build world-class products that shake up the digital order of what is possible. The award winning Hugo opened many an eye to what was possible in transportable audio and the Mojo pushed the envelope higher with a much more affordable price and opened up thousands more to the realm of digital audio. Upon reviewing the DAVE I knew music listening would never be the same once it left so much so I had to purchase it.”

“This 140-watt-per-channel amplifier—the latest refinement of Quad’s innovative, patented, award-winning “current dumping” technology—is, in PS’ opinion, the finest amplifier the company has ever made by a good margin, and unquestionably the most uncompromised implementation of Walker’s current-dumping circuit.”

GamuT Di150 LE integrated amplifier Review
March 26, 2017 Comments Off on GamuT Di150 LE integrated amplifier Review
“Its price of $12,990 pits the GamuT Di150 LE against some serious integrated amplifiers, including the Mark Levinson No.585 ($12,000), the Ayre Acoustics AX-5 Twenty ($12,950), and the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800 ($12,999)—all of which are listed in Class A of Stereophile’s “Recommended Components.” I’ve never heard in my system another amplifier, tubed or solid-state, that provided such enormous images or such speed, dynamics, and pure force. Emanating from “black” backgrounds of noiseless space, notes flew from the Di150 LE with purpose and punch, whether from LP or CD.”

NOBLE AUDIO SAGE REVIEW
March 26, 2017 Comments Off on NOBLE AUDIO SAGE REVIEW
“Sage incorporates a dual balanced armature design, where one driver displays lows and the other will reproduce highs and mids. Noble‘s configuration and tuning result in a soundsignature that delivers powerful, punchy and tight bass. This is one thing I love about my Kaiser 10, and the way Sage reproduces lows actually reminds me in many ways of my custom K10 (I‘m not saying they are the same though). Kaiser‘s bass is more impactful, more present and a tad bigger, both models though are free of frequency-bleeding, meaning bass will always stay put where it should. Sage‘s lows are nicely textured, have certain weight to them and come across with great body. Mids are lush and energetic with a smooth touch”

ARIES CERAT SYMPHONIA HORN SPEAKERS REVIEW
March 26, 2017 Comments Off on ARIES CERAT SYMPHONIA HORN SPEAKERS REVIEW
” Symphonia completely eliminate diffraction coloration and smearing transients, with unique 360 degree bullet-shaped solid-wood horns. But, thats not all. The eleven kg, 4” oversized titanium driver, with a massive magnetic system is connected to the multi-tap transformer, that can tune the speakers according to each room’s acoustics. ”

Klipsch – The Three – Review
March 25, 2017 Comments Off on Klipsch – The Three – Review
” My family used Spotify exclusively with The Three (other than my testing). It worked fantastic and streamed without a single issue. Products that have connectivity issues or need to be fiddled with after a period of nonuse, are nonstarters in my house. If I have to tell my family, “wait a second while I reconfigure something on your phone real quick,” after having set it up previously, my family won’t use the product. I know, first world problems, but problems nonetheless. With The Three and Spotify Connect, not only could my family stream to the unit near the kitchen table, they could tap the device name within the Spotify app to select a different Klipsch speaker. It’s really that easy and it worked every time. ”

Lamm Industries L2.1 Reference Preamplifier $22,790 Review
March 25, 2017 Comments Off on Lamm Industries L2.1 Reference Preamplifier $22,790 Review
“The Merrill and the Lamm were similar in other ways as well, the biggest being their effect on listeners. When the Christine Preamp was in line, after no more than a minute a contented expression would appear on their faces, and they visibly relaxed. They ceased talking or whatever they were involved in to give full attention to the playback. These reactions to the Christine Preamp were immediate, repeatable, and always salubrious. More often than not that happened with the L2.1.”
