“If you noticed the insertion of “BA” in the low-end summary description that’s not a random statement. This is a low-end with BA timbre so it is not subterranean deep or with a typical dynamic driver long decay.
However, it is one of the better BA tunings for bass and it can sound visceral when called upon. It is relatively quick-paced also which heightens the perception of a good fundamental underlying most thick synthy type bass mixes.
Sub-bass has a decent weight but its mid-bass punchiness around 100-150Hz that is the main calling card for me. That’s what drives the Mentor V3+ overall presentation. The layering is also very impressive on the low-end with some really good definition.”

MOONDROP KXXS $189 REVIEW

Metheny’s guitar was alive and detailed allowing you hearing each individual note, and Charlies Haden is behind Pat in the studio with little spacing between the 2 musicians. This well-recorded sonic masterpiece is loaded with inner detail and musicality. I was amazed at the quality of sound that the KXXS was procuring while playing this tune. The sound of Metheny’s guitar was exceptionally transparent and listening clearly showcased his style of playing and made his guitar come to life. Haden’s bass notes were detailed with excellent venture and space with air between the two musicians reproduced exceptionally.”

HELM AUDIO TRUE WIRELESS 5.0 TWS – WIRELESS Review

This is where the TW5.0 absolutely excels. Both driver units are capable of 6-8 hours playback time and I did get just over 6 hours during testing. The EW1 from Jade Audio is its closest competitor at 6-7 hours but I did get a few minutes more than the EW1 so this is number 1 in our TWS reviewed to date for battery life.
The charging case at 40 hours probably explains why it has a bit of girth beyond driver size. 40 hours is fairly chunky and the chunkiest numbers we have encountered thus far. The closest we have tested it the MPOW M5 at 35 hours. With an average of around 7 hours and 30-40 hours in the tank that’s a pleasing 4-5 recharges. More importantly, a long time before you have to slip them into the cradle which I like.

SONY IER-Z1R SIGNATURE SERIES UNIVERSAL-FIT EARPHONE $1,999 REVIEW

The third characteristic is masterful rendition of reverberant information and spatial cues in recordings, which enables the IER-Z1R to produce huge, ‘outside-the-head’ soundstages. This quality proved stunning on Elvis Presley’s ‘Fever’ from Elvis Is Back [Sony Legacy, 16/44.1]. Specifically, the earphones neatly exposed the amounts and types of reverb applied to Elvis’ vocals throughout the song, while showing how widely spaced percussion instruments define the boundaries of the soundstage through sounds that reverberate and linger on the air.

AUDEZE LCD-I4 REVIEW

“The sound stage stretches wide and deep with an open feeling. You get extremely good resolution and micro detailing. The Element M fires in a ton of information, which the LCD-i4 reproduces without a sweat. Imaging is right about perfect, with sharply separated instruments. The LCD-i4 paints a beautiful picture right in front of you, where you can imagine the band and performers very well.”

Campfire Audio Solaris SE T Review

“On the Solaris, this vocal passage sounds a little ‘steelier’ in tone but with more separation on the layers. The Solaris SE blends the layers a bit more and produces a bit more warmth and liquidity on the vocal timbre. You could say it generates a slightly softer hit on the percussion but without diminishing its presence. I get a feeling the Solaris SE is going to be a little more matchable as a result of that timbral tweak.
The Solaris SE mids driver generally sounds a little more even in positioning and presence than the original Solaris driver. I would define it as a more natural sound than the more excitable clean timbre of the Solaris original.”

InEar ProMission X Review

The ProMission X has a degree more coloration than the ProPhile 8 but it is not as warm or bottom-heavy as the SD5. My initial impression here is of an articulate, pacy but natural sound. I do detect a gentle u-shape with an extended low-end and a bit of mid-bass elevation, maybe just shy of 4-5dB over neutral.
The low-end is offset or balanced out with a 1-2k bump that teases out some very nice and dare I say it fairly pure sounding vocals performances. What is impressive is the upper treble of the ProMission X. There is a bump around 8k but it doesn’t produce a lean or tizzy overtone on the high-pitched instruments. Instead, there is just enough to tease out an excellent harmonic balance and a nice sense of instrumental clarity with some good headroom.
