Audiofly AF1120 Headphones Review

“I indulged in some hi-res files of Led Zeppelin II while comparing the AF1120 with another six-balanced-armature in-ear, a 64 Audio V6, and the two headphones were pretty far apart. The AF1120’s muscular sound added more juice to Zep- pelin’s power delivery, so John Paul Jones’ bass was gutsier. John Bonham’s drums rocked harder, and dynamics sounded more alive. The AF1120 also showered love on Jimmy Page’s guitar and Robert Plant’s vocals.”

KZ ATR REVIEW
April 4, 2017 Comments Off on KZ ATR REVIEW
” The packaging is even more basic and the ATR comes delivered in a 10cm simple card wood and plastic box with a see trough cover. Inside are the monitors, a user guide and a little bag of silicone tips. (The ATR doesn’t come with foam tips like the ATE model).

CAMPFIRE AUDIO DORADO REVIEW
April 1, 2017 Comments Off on CAMPFIRE AUDIO DORADO REVIEW
“Both have fantastic bass responses from their respective bass drivers but they differ in their emphasis. The A91 puts all its eggs in an elevated sub-bass response and relatively linear drop from 150 Hz whereas the the Dorado is thicker, warmer, and more sustained into its mid-bass signature. Thus you will hear the rumble of the A91 but it’s not as impactful and hard hitting as the Dorado’s meaty bass response.”

V-Moda Forza In-Ear Sports Headphone Review
March 30, 2017 Comments Off on V-Moda Forza In-Ear Sports Headphone Review
” When called to do so, the V-Moda could jam to just about any genre. The hi-res version of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memory burst forth with life and dynamics. Classical recordings were masterfully conducted and reproduced. The trumpets in Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” sang with beautiful timbral accuracy and the bass drums had impact but didn’t come across in an overly bombastic way. As I mentioned before, the voicing on the Forza is more akin to audiophile neutral tastes than bass-emphasized DJ sound”

Ultimate Ears UE 18+ $1500 Review
March 28, 2017 Comments Off on Ultimate Ears UE 18+ $1500 Review
“The low frequencies sound really wonderful. Not bloated, boosted, or overstated, there’s a unbroken, fluid transition from 300 Hz all the way down to the bottom of hearing range. If you’re a fan of the Dr. Chesky Headphone Demo Disk, you’ll love how the 18+ Pro perform on the “Shake, Rattle, and Roll Test” (a low frequency sweep down to 20 hZ.) There’s no one frequency range that suddenly pops up due to poor tuning; everything sounds flat and even.”

NOBLE AUDIO SAGE REVIEW
March 26, 2017 Comments Off on NOBLE AUDIO SAGE REVIEW
“Sage incorporates a dual balanced armature design, where one driver displays lows and the other will reproduce highs and mids. Noble‘s configuration and tuning result in a soundsignature that delivers powerful, punchy and tight bass. This is one thing I love about my Kaiser 10, and the way Sage reproduces lows actually reminds me in many ways of my custom K10 (I‘m not saying they are the same though). Kaiser‘s bass is more impactful, more present and a tad bigger, both models though are free of frequency-bleeding, meaning bass will always stay put where it should. Sage‘s lows are nicely textured, have certain weight to them and come across with great body. Mids are lush and energetic with a smooth touch”

Westone Audio W60 In-Ear Monitor Review
March 22, 2017 Comments Off on Westone Audio W60 In-Ear Monitor Review
” The Ultimate Ears always sounded in control and a bit more articulate, but also more reserved when it came to bass reproduction. There were a few more musical details revealed with the Ultimate Ears, as well as a bit more soundstage depth. But with less bass dynamics, I once again found the Ultimate Ears to not be quite as engaging as the W60 with this track. The W60 was just a bit more fun to listen to here.”
