CAMPFIRE AUDIO VEGA REVIEW

“There is around a 3-5dB difference in the sub-bass response over the BA Andromeda. In short, the quantity and forwardness of the sub-bass to bass performance of the Vega is greater and you are going to feel that right up to 50Hz. There is the tiniest bit of leveling and dropping off 30HZ and below but this is entirely normal.

CUSTOM ART HARMONY 8.2 $1100 REVIEW

” In the treble department, Savanna S sounds more airy and prominent notes, while H8.2 has laid-back treble notes. Savanna S seems to articulate details more, but it is colored and slightly thin in comparison. Although the resolution levels are similar, H8.2 betters Savanna S in the fast metal tracks.”

NOBLE AUDIO SAVANT CUSTOM-FIT IN-EAR MONITORS – REVIEW
December 8, 2016 Comments Off on NOBLE AUDIO SAVANT CUSTOM-FIT IN-EAR MONITORS – REVIEW
” Is the Savant a true top-tier heavyweight? In a word, yes. I found the Savant was fully competitive with top models from firms such as JH Audio, Ultimate Ears, and Westone. But what sets the Savant apart from its competitors are its uncanny cohesiveness, detail, dynamics, and the rare ability to pull listeners out of their ‘heads’ and into the music. For these reasons and more, the Savant has now become one of my preferred, go-to, in-ear references.”

WESTONE ES60 CUSTOM-FIT IN EAR MONITOR $1,299 Review
December 7, 2016 Comments Off on WESTONE ES60 CUSTOM-FIT IN EAR MONITOR $1,299 Review
” The only small reservation I might express is that the ES‑60’s typically do not seem to convey quite as much upper midrange/treble ‘air’ and transient information as some other accuracy minded CIEMs I have heard (for example, the Noble Audio Savant or the Ultimate Ears Pro Reference Remastered models). This characteristic is minor enough that it certainly doesn’t rise to the level of perceived high-frequency roll off, but it does mean that, through the Westones, some recordings can sound slightly less transparent, airy, and spacious than one might expect”

FLC 8S REVIEW

“My bass was set up to go well with a wide range of genres and it did so with real speed, texture and some level of appreciated sub bass when it was required. I could easily turn these into a dedicated set of basshead IEM’s if I wanted and they would handle all my EDM and Dubstep needs as good as any other on our list of the 12 best bass earbuds”

EARSONICS ES-2 AND ES-3 REVIEW
December 2, 2016 Comments Off on EARSONICS ES-2 AND ES-3 REVIEW
” I think our French friends have made a nice push to mid-fi market of IEM’s. The ES-2 was the obvious surprise with that veiled and dark sound but if you match it with a reference DAP with a brighter sound I think you will get a great musical result, and I insist that it has a better tone overall than ES-3. If you’re treble sensitive like me, you can go for it.”

NUFORCE HEM8 FLAGSHIP IN-EAR REVIEW
November 30, 2016 Comments Off on NUFORCE HEM8 FLAGSHIP IN-EAR REVIEW
“Her voice was as detailed and upfront as ever. The HEM8’s have a magical ability to portray female vocals and they were certainly up to the task with Norah’s singing. Out of my iPhone 6, the HEM8s sounded sublime with this record, but when I plugged them into the uDAC5, things did improve noticeably. The clarity and transparency improved and I could hear even more of the most inner workings of this recording. As well, the sound staging opened up almost immediately. This led me to conclude that the uDAC5 was a definite upgrade to my standard iDevice and again, considering the price point, a no brainer for me. When I compared the sound of this combination to other $500 IEMs I’ve heard or have on hand, I just kept coming back to the HEM8s!”
