Vocal presence is elevated and to the fore for both male and female vocals and it suffers from zero sibilance. Texture and detail, particularly in female vocals are very impressive with just the right level of attack and decay. It is neither too sharp nor too soft and sounding incredibly refined. Vocals on the EAMT-2C are so open and almost euphoric in a sense that other flagship IEMs such almost dull, soft and lifeless and that is saying something. For those that think this means bright or very intimate, I can tell you that is very wide of the mark. Think Stax, think effortless and you will hit closer to home with the EAMT-2C midrange presentation”

” The ear pieces themselves are stunning and to the point you may have already looked past the poor show in the packaging department. Being a brand that also makes customs, VT provide some epic design options and their previous work on their store looks magnificent. With my Chinese not being completely up to scratch, I am not too sure how pricing works but think different options will change the price a bit. I am pretty sure my design is a pretty standard universal option shown in all the store photos but it is anything but standard in reality. This amber shell with what looks like a Burl face-plate is truly beautiful and these are a gorgeous piece of work.”

” Decay on the treble also seems to have eased up ever so slightly compared to the 4C treble performance. It is still a relatively quick decay in its own right but that slight softening at the front and longer trail combined with the slightly more controlled curve makes everything on the Savanna top end just sound more coherent and a lot smoother than the 4C.”

” First, I would urge Echobox to offer more differentiation between their medium and large-size silicone ear tips; in our samples the size M and L tips were so close in size that there was almost no difference between the two. Second, I would like to see the X1 earpieces stretched out to slightly greater length to better accommodate listeners (like me) whose ear canals are very deeply set. Greater length would also make the earpieces easier to grasp for insertion and removal. Please note, though, that these two wish-list items are just that: ideas for enhancing what is already a superb, value-priced earphone.”
