Noble Custom K10 Review

“A Wizard design clearly doesn’t come cheap but the K10 are TOTL monitors and most people will only buy a monitor like this once in their life time. Like my friend said: “I’m already spending this much on an inear, why not go all the way? I’m only doing this once.” I told him that was a dangerous statement to make, we’ll see who’s right in the end.”

JOMO AUDIO JOMO6 V2 REVIEW
November 11, 2016 Comments Off on JOMO AUDIO JOMO6 V2 REVIEW
“With three of six drivers dedicated to low frequencies, one would be excused to fear a bass-heavy earphone. But this is not the case. In fact, the new Jomo6 has perceptively less bass than most of my earphones even though I have very few monitors with v-shaped signatures. On some tracks, I wouldn’t even mind a bit more punch and slam.”

FITEAR TITAN & CAMPFIRE AUDIO VEGA IMPRESSIONS REVIEW
November 5, 2016 Comments Off on FITEAR TITAN & CAMPFIRE AUDIO VEGA IMPRESSIONS REVIEW
” Bar none, these are the most z-axis detailed earphones I’ve ever heard, and surpass even Campfire Audio’s Andromeda. Listening to them was like looking at a composite macro image for the first time, picking over myriad manufacturing defects and dust invisible to the naked eye. The problem I have is that, while I had fun listening to my music, I was listening way more to the earphone.”

Audio-Technica SonicPro ATH-IM02 REVIEW
November 4, 2016 Comments Off on Audio-Technica SonicPro ATH-IM02 REVIEW
” It has good bass impact, too, especially by balanced armature standards—similar to the quad-driver Audiofly AF180 I reviewed previously. The low end is punchy and natural, though those with a yearning for serious bass rumble will still be better off with a dynamic-driver earphone instead.”

NUFORCE BE6I WIRELESS IN-EAR MONITORS – REVIEW
November 3, 2016 Comments Off on NUFORCE BE6I WIRELESS IN-EAR MONITORS – REVIEW
” His ability to belt out energetic vocals as in “Fifty Mission Cap” was so very satisfying. The tragic story of Bill Barilko’s untimely death at 24 after scoring the game winner to win the Toronto Maple Leafs the Stanley Cup in the 1951 Cup Finals was all laid bare with these lyrics. ”

SIMGOT EN700 METAL – REVIEW
November 2, 2016 Comments Off on SIMGOT EN700 METAL – REVIEW
” I have found that Simgot has gone for quite a measured approach when tuning the EN700. It is obvious they wanted a more balanced sound, moving closer to neutral but did so in a different way to what I think most brands opt for. Instead of just boosting treble and upper mids for that more reference/analytical sound, these have kept mids and treble quite level headed and just cut the bass a little. ”

ULTIMATE EARS PRO REFERENCE REVIEW
October 29, 2016 Comments Off on ULTIMATE EARS PRO REFERENCE REVIEW
“The UE Pro Reference Remastered is the most balanced and neutral in ear monitor I have used. The sound from the midrange through the treble was exceptional. The clarity, tonality and musicality from small ensemble vocal recordings are evident in the sound that the IEM delivers. Both female and male vocalist were clear and transparent.”

Here Active Listening In-Ear Monitors Review

“And that’s the key to Here in a nutshell: achieving balance. Live mixing is a tricky thing for actual live engineers, but once you get the hang of Here’s flexible EQ options, you’ll create the best front-of-house mix at every show you attend, no matter the inherent challenges of both venue and artist. At this point, I can’t imagine attending any show going forward without them in my ears. Hear hear, Here.”

ASTELL&KERN AKT8IE MKII $1,000 Review
October 26, 2016 Comments Off on ASTELL&KERN AKT8IE MKII $1,000 Review
” I hope that the mkii holds up to the daily grind better than the mki appears to have. The latest TK8iE mkii is one of the best-sounding, most dynamic earphones I’ve ever had in my ears. And it is even more comfortable than it is good sounding. Its over-engineered accessories are completely forgivable in light of its incredible sound and fit. It’s a concession to which I give full, unbridled consent.”

CUSTOM ART HARMONY 8.2 REVIEW
October 23, 2016 Comments Off on CUSTOM ART HARMONY 8.2 REVIEW
” The key difference between the 8 and the 8.2 is impact and increased sub-bass presence in the performance of the 8.2; it is just so much better than previously. Bass on the 8 was actually pretty good, to be honest with a snappy and tactile response but it didn’t have a huge amount of emphasis”
