NOBLE AUDIO K10 – REVIEW
July 18, 2016 Comments Off on NOBLE AUDIO K10 – REVIEW
“t’s a lot easier to shoot hard-angled objects. Flags can be roughly cut and are easier to position. Reflectors can be smaller, and require less precise angling. I approach each earphone I shoot as a wholly different task with a wholly different studio setup: a custom studio, if you will. But custom set ups have downsides. You can’t suddenly shoot another product. You need to tear down, model, carve, and set up again. The K10C slips right in the ear. It is comfy. And, it should sound the same from ear to ear. I feel that it fits a wide array of music, but it is warmer, softer upper midrange edges make it a better fit for music that’s not trance or EDM.”

FIDUE A73 HYBRID IN EAR HEADPHONE REVIEW
July 13, 2016 Comments Off on FIDUE A73 HYBRID IN EAR HEADPHONE REVIEW
” The housing of the earphone is, it has to be said, pretty large. If you have small ears look elsewhere but if you consider yourself in the normal to large size the Fidue A73 are going to be spot on in terms of comfort and ease of insertion. The housing itself is made of some good quality plastics and despite our preference for metal units, this earphone feels surprisingly strong. It’s not going to be knocking down the doors of the tank like campfire audio models but then it costs just a fraction of the price. As long as you don’t stand on them or drop them from any great height you should be good to go.”

UBSOUND ORCHESTRA IEM
July 12, 2016 Comments Off on UBSOUND ORCHESTRA IEM
” The Italian company UBSOUND have just launched their new ORCHESTRA ergonomic HD in-ear earphones worldwide. UBSOUND is an Italian consumer electronics company, based in Milan, specialized in portable audio products like high-quality IEMs, headphones, speakers, DAPs and amplified DACs. After the great success and increase of worldwide brand awareness thanks to their first 2 series of IEMs and 1 model of headphones (Fighter, Smarter, Dreamer), the company starts its new challenge on a third model of IEMs with a new ergonomic “around the ear” style, a slightly more natural acoustic signature and a really competitive price point with a worldwide launch price of 24$. UBSOUND is still focused on a clear upcoming roadmap of products which includes DAPs, amplified DACs and wireless speakers.”

64 Audio U12 $1599 Review
July 10, 2016 Comments Off on 64 Audio U12 $1599 Review
” 64 Audio have done a good job in capitalising on ADEL’s modular technology which has been proven to be more than just a novelty marketing piece. Along with their own input and fine refinement of the U12’s tuning, the company has released a force to be reckoned with in the saturated market of personal audio. At $1599, the U12 is by no means cheap but an investment that could certainly pay off in the long run both in terms of hearing preservation and pure sonic enjoyment. What’s more is that Asius Technologies are working on the release of adjustable modules to fine tune the listening experience of the U12 to your own liking. Unlike filters which just change the sound of the signature, these adjustable modules feature the same diaphonic lens of the stock ADEL module and have the ability to alter isolation levels. An exciting time indeed—do stay tuned for more…

ULTIMATE EARS PRO REFERENCE REMASTERED CUSTOM IN-EAR MONITORS REVIEW
July 9, 2016 Comments Off on ULTIMATE EARS PRO REFERENCE REMASTERED CUSTOM IN-EAR MONITORS REVIEW
”
The Reference Remastered strikes me as nothing so much as a tool, perhaps THE tool, to help you find and sort all the sounds you were meant to discover in both music and video. It is easily one of the most dynamic, natural-sounding components I’ve ever heard and for anyone craving neutrality, resolution, and involvement; it is highly, highly recommended.”

DUNU DN-2002 REVIEW
July 8, 2016 Comments Off on DUNU DN-2002 REVIEW
” The soundstage of the DN-2002 is very similar to that of the DN-2000J. The only real difference is that the midrange of the DN-2002 is slightly more forward resulting in a more narrowed perceived presentation of vocals. Instrument separation is also beyond average and has always been one of DUNU’s strength along with its expansive sound presentation.”

WESTONE ES60 $1,300 REVIEW
July 7, 2016 Comments Off on WESTONE ES60 $1,300 REVIEW
” Solar has slightly more bodied treble notes with similar amount of resolution, but ES60 sounds a bit cleaner and clearer in treble region. They both are fast and the resolution levels are close. On the other hand, Solar has more coloration, but both have natural presentation with similar transparency and cleanliness.”

DITA Review
July 3, 2016 Comments Off on DITA Review
“Operating under the philosophy that the cabinet has the greatest effect on overall sound quality, in order to control unwanted resonances (what they refer to as “box colorations”) the chassis is “meticulously milled and turned on modern multi-axis CNC machines from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum.” As to driver technology, they have chosen to use a single dynamic transducer, adopting the principle that the best way to maintain phase coherency and to eliminate crossover distortion is to use a single full range driver. Once again to quote DITA “To fully exploit our ultra rigid chassis, we needed to design a state-of-the-art driver that is ultra-lightweight, ultra-fast and rigid driver. The combination of both lightness and rigidity gives us a smooth and wide bandwidth response curve, along with stunningly quick impulse response.” But DITA doesn’t stop at the chassis and driver, they consider the cable to be a major factor in the sound and have taken great pains in the design and manufacture of their cables down to the use of Van den Hul silver solder and the non-magnetic carbon fiber TRS connector.”
