RHA S500I REVIEW

” The cable itself is very well done and features a low microphonic upper cable housing made of rubber and the lower half after the cable splitter is a lightweight cord. This combination of materials meant that there was very little noise, if any, from the cable. The RHA S500i is of course the model that features an inline microphone and control set and during the course of the review it was found to offer excellent call quality. The earbud microphone and control is made of the same aluminium found on the earpieces, its rock solid”

NOBLE AUDIO WIZARD SAVANT IEM REVIEW
December 26, 2015 Comments Off on NOBLE AUDIO WIZARD SAVANT IEM REVIEW
‘ Sub bass on the Wizard Savant is good but not dominating with a slight roll off right at the bottom, the main punch comes from that 50-100hz area so EDM and hard rock will benefit most from the Savants richer bass line and orchestral sub bass drum work might lose out. It is horses for courses really between the two and as before I felt the Classic 4 couldn’t deliver the bass vibe and feel of modern rock and pop the Savant really can.”

PSB Imagine T3 Loudspeakers Review

“The Imagine T3 effectively replaces PSB’s Synchrony One ($6000/pair when available), which I reviewed in 2008 and used in my room for a while thereafter. The Synchrony One was a fantastic speaker that won our Reviewers’ Choice and Product of the Year awards.”

PSB Speakers M4U 4 Headphone Review
December 20, 2015 Comments Off on PSB Speakers M4U 4 Headphone Review
” I did the bulk of my listening with my iPod classic, before I stepped up to the latest version of FiiO’s high-resolution X5 music player ($350) to tap the M4U 4’s full potential. Dynamics and transparency improved, a lot, so with Aphex Twin’s Drukqs album, the seriously deep bass passages were more viscerally felt, and with Rob Wasserman’s Solo album, his acoustic bass’s dexterity and precision were no less astonishing”

LEAR NS-U1 IEM Review
December 19, 2015 Comments Off on LEAR NS-U1 IEM Review
” Your ears will need a few seconds to adjust to how things are being presented to you on NS mode also as everything is pulled in a bit more from the sides and placed more in front of you imaging wise. Within those seconds however immediately you will notice the tonality get a welcome injection of warmth, body and musicality. The NS On mode clearly sounds the beefier of the two signatures. Left right stereo separation is far less tangible also and initially you might think your soundstage is being squeezed up and becoming more congested or intimate but in reality it actually does sound a bit more like how some speakers project.”

Ultimate Ears UE11 Pro CIEM REVIEW
December 16, 2015 Comments Off on Ultimate Ears UE11 Pro CIEM REVIEW
” I have spent many hours enjoying the UE11’s in a critical listening environment. Most of the time though they have been my primary on the go headphones paired up with my iPhone 6+. I ordered the iPhone cable from UE and this is my day to day traveling rig, and I LIKE it!! When you are on the road a lot the opportunity to have convenience and quality as the default option is truly wonderful. Like my favorite pair of jeans when I go out to start my day the UE11’s are what I reach for first. They can dress up or dress down with the best!”

TRINITY AUDIO DELTA REVIEW
December 16, 2015 Comments Off on TRINITY AUDIO DELTA REVIEW
” Well the sound of the Trinity Audio Engineering Delta is going to be determined by what filters you choose to use with them. I have mentioned before that I don’t usually mess about changing my sound filters on other earphones once I have settled on a sound signature I like. Whilst some people will no doubt endlessly play around with there filters I wont be doing that. However, I did manage test out all the filters as part of this Trinity Audio Delta review but found, for the most part, that the bass filters were most suited to my preference. ”

ADL EH008 Dual Dynamic Driver Earphones Review
December 9, 2015 Comments Off on ADL EH008 Dual Dynamic Driver Earphones Review
. Listening to the piano, the EH008 was tuneful, natural and textured and preserved the glow of the woody body of the instrument. With the B&W C5, the piano was somewhat simplistic, sounding lighter and having less reverb, while through the Shure SE535 the clarity of the piano notes rose to a higher level, taking on its own space and bringing with it a bounty of detail. Moving to the percussion, the EH008 provided a more detailed and revealing rendition of brushwork than the C5 with cymbals that were subdued but feathery, the C5 sounding rather simplistic in comparison, while the SE535 provided the greatest insight into the strokes, motions and textures. Miles’ trumpet with the ADL EH008, though short of the SE535 in ultimate transparency, openness, dynamics and detail, did a wonderful job of embodying this instrument with its brassy warmth and inherent bite. And, unlike the C5, the EH008 provided the brassy texture of the instrument and its throat tones. This went also for the saxophone, where the EH008 conveyed the instrument with authoritative beauty, sounding full, rich and lush – a captivating experience. In all of this the EH008 was able to bring across the emotion of the song, the relaxed melancholy that has given me such a love for the piece.”
