Review: Fostex TE-07

Build quality I would say is slightly better than the TE-05, the housing feels better machined than the TE-05, and looks a bit better in my opinion. The cable is very soft and comfortable, and is detachable using MMCX connectors, it has very good strain relief but there is no chin slider unfortunately. Overall very good build quality and the detachable cable is a great feature.

Optoma NuForce NE750M and NE800M Review
September 27, 2015 Comments Off on Optoma NuForce NE750M and NE800M Review
I found it to give the NE800M a slightly muddy sound, especially on bass-heavy tracks, such as Elle King’s “Ex’s & Oh’s.” However, circling back to the David Guetta track, the bass was deep and satisfying. The midrange was smoother on Ed Sheeran’s voice, and the high-end clarity was very pleasant. However, even on this acoustic-heavy track, the bass was too muddy to let the treble truly sparkle. Playing with the different supplied eartips let you somewhat control the bass response to find the perfect balance between proper fit and performance. The warm sound of the NE800M was very pleasant on songs that were recorded and mixed without a big bass sound, like James Ray’s “Hold Back the River.” It gave the male vocals a full, round sound
LIFE Headphones Review
September 21, 2015 Comments Off on LIFE Headphones Review
Compared to the LIFE Headphones, the Rockets have slightly greater bass quantity and depth while maintaining similar bass quantity/tightness. The midrange of the Rockets is more forward, while the treble is more laid-back. The Rockets are smoother and more forgiving of harshness and sibilance, but also sound a little dull in comparison to the LIFE at times. The LIFE, on the other hand, has bright and energetic treble. The Rockets are also much less sensitive than the LIFE Headphones and will take a lot more power to hit the same volume levels.

‘1964Ears Adel A12′ Review
September 15, 2015 Comments Off on ‘1964Ears Adel A12′ Review
The 1964Ears Adel A12 has a similar kind of effect. It seizes you by your ears, delightfully coaxing you to rediscover the music that you’ve apparently taken for granted all these years. Singers and musicians seem to materialise around you, and your mind panics for a moment as it frantically tries to regain its balance. But then that moment passes, you start to calm down, and for the first time you stop listening and begin experiencing. With the curiosity of a newborn baby, you find the A12 has harry-pottered you to the studio, the club, or the stadium where your music was recorded. It is a staggering experience, sweet yet sour. Your music may sound the same with other IEMs, but somehow it will never feel the same.
Ultimate Ears Pro Reference Monitor In-Ear Headphones $999 Review
September 13, 2015 Comments Off on Ultimate Ears Pro Reference Monitor In-Ear Headphones $999 Review
” The soundstage of the UERM is phenomenal with a wide-reaching projection of sonic cues in all directions. Out of all of my IEMs, the UERM has enough of a perceived soundstage to rival closed-back headphones and bests even the Heir Audio IEM 8.0 in this regard. ”
COSMIC EARS CE5P – REVIEW
September 12, 2015 Comments Off on COSMIC EARS CE5P – REVIEW
” A lot of custom inear companies develop monitors that focus on one particular area like bass or vocals or treble. What I love about Cosmic Ears is that all their monitors are great all-rounders with generally good bass and especially good mids. The CE5P is no different in that regard. CE’s website says the CE5P is “an amazing earphone for a solid performance across the frequency range” and that’s exactly the feedback I gave CE. To be honest I received the CE5P a couple of months ago already. They didn’t even have it on their website back then if I remember well.”

” I told her they were the new Campfire Lyras, and yes, the sound was really nice. I explained I didn’t own them, I was reviewing them for my CNET “Audiophiliac” blog, and she immediately put the URL in her phone. ”
