 This is a level one solution, and it does work to a degree. The IsoAcoustics footers alleviate the effects of these unwanted resonances by providing stability in the horizontal plane, and then fashioning a pathway to drain and dissipate vibrations from the speaker cabinet, or in case of the CLX ART, the speaker frame. This is more than a bit of smoke in mirrors, as these products have undergone both frequency response testing in anechoic chambers and laser scanning vibration measurements at the National Research Council of Canada facilities. There are measurable and repeatable effects in using the Gaia footers in our audio systems. These footers are engineered to work under a wide variety of speakers, which is to be expected since the design provides a pathway to sink and dissipate undesirable energy. If you use a speaker with traditional cabinets such as the Sonus faber Stradivarius that Robert Youman owns, or an electrostatic panel such as my Martin Logan CLX ART, you will find tangible benefits from this product.

The PQ-303’s Linear Noise-Dissipation comprises Differential-Mode filtering (30kHz–1GHz), which addresses asymmetrical noise already present on the utility line or backwashed via electronic appliances and components. The PQ-505 adds Common-Mode filtering (30kHz–100MHz) to address symmetrical noise, which is typically picked up by the AC Line, Neutral, and Ground leads. In the PQ-707, Noise Dissipation is taken even further with a wider-bandwidth (8kHz to 1GHz) Differential-Mode filter.

The PQ-707 also includes Transient Power Correction (TPC). In the PQ-707, TPC provides a current reservoir of up to 45 amps peak on-demand power for any amplifier (up to 25mS), supplying the low-impedance current the amp needs to produce thrilling dynamic contrasts, bass extension, and control.

I’ll admit to a bit of skepticism when I was approached with this product, but the Swiss Digital FUSE BOX delivered on its promises and then some. I’ve always said that in an amplifier, power supply is everything, this was clear going all the way back to early Hi-Fi when we would build huge outboard power supplies as performance mods. With modern audio products trying to run more efficiently it only makes sense that the limiting factor is the amount of power going into the power supply, and as noted above the weakest link in the power chain is the fuse. While your amplifier has the highest current demands, I suspect any product that has an amplifier circuit such as DACs, Streamers, Tuners, Phono Stages, and Preamps will see similar improvements.

The first graph shows the resulting noise level coming from the amp and speakers using a standard generic power cable that was supplied with the KECES amp. No content is being provided to the amp. This is simply the noise floor of the amplifier, measured just in front of the speaker. The second graph is the exact same setup, except the power cables have been replaced with RSX Beyond Power Cables running through the RSX Power8/Beyond™ AC Cables.
