” Having heard it stock there are 2 areas where further improvement could be made. First and most obvious one is to try out various tubes. The first tube that I tried was the Gold Lion by Genalex. This tube provided a richer bass and mids giving a richer and thicker sound making vocals slightly more pronounced. However it is kind of round off the highs. The crisp and sparkle of the highs disappeared. This caused the soundstage to collapse slightly. The next tube I got was the RCA clear top”
