The simplicity of being a two-way bookshelf, like the Olympica 1 eliminates the issues of a complicated crossover and allow it to have all the great sound technicalities. Nevertheless, there is always a trade off, and in this case, it would be the low frequency response that would have been there if the cabinet was larger with a couple of dedicated bass drivers. Following that, would be the overall sound character or signature that might be a make it or break it for fellow potential Olympica 1 owners. The speaker carries a leaner sonic signature to allow it to be more versatile with all kinds of music but some may yearn for a warmer presentation.”
