Head to head with my SL-1500C, the difference remained immediately noticeable. The Technics delivered details that the FiiO could only dream of. But, to be fair, the SL-1500C is a turntable six times the price, made by a brand known for producing some of the best turntables in the world. So let’s scale it down a bit and compare the TT11 with something more in its league – like the Teac TN-180BT, the TN-280BT, or the Audio-Technica AT-LP3, for example.

This time, I found the FiiO in very comfortable territory. Same fight as the TT13, really: the FiiO gave me higher dynamic range, better control on low extension – rumble was much more noticeable on the Teac – and surprisingly better voices, even though several of these turntables share the exact same cartridge family. For the money, the TT11 punches right alongside its pricier competitors, and that’s not nothing for a sub-$200 turntable.
