NORDOST ODIN 2 CABLES £43,399/4m terminated REVIEW

” In short, Nordost’s Odin 2 doesn’t just push the envelope of how unforced audio can sound through a cable; it breaks the sound barrier. Nordost’s original Odin set high standards for cables, whether viewed individually, or in ideal circumstances taken as a complete system. And Odin 2 takes that to another level. The best that became ‘one of the best’ has just returned to its place at the head of the table. Wow!”

” . OK, I can’t know whether this is IT, whether this is Geoff’s the last word in these aspects. It is possible that he will surprise us some day with an even better product. Let’s not forget that for some time Tellurium Q believed that they wouldn’t be able to offer even better products than Silver line… But they obviously managed to achieve that and what we get is an incredibly rich, full, natural sound.”

Forza Audio Works Hybrid IEM Cable

well depending on your monitors and the sound you want this cable could be a very good option. The prices of Forza cables are very reasonable compared to some other brands, the quality is always excellent as if the service. And this cable will give you a little more space and refinement, with a tad more sparkle. It doesn’t make the sound artificial or boost anything too much. A very subtle difference but an upgrade for my particular monitors. Also the build quality and warranty will make you rest easy knowing Forza are there if anything goes wrong, ergonomics and build quality alone probably warrant the purchase of this cable.
Sharkwire Bull Shark Cable

Brands like MIT and Transparent have models costing upwards of $80,000. The problem is that I (and possibly you too) cannot afford anything remotely this expensive. The sonic difference they make may possibly warrant owning them…if one is filthy rich. In any case, I was so upset I told to Mr. Gunter. “Okay, send me the Great White and allow me to decide if these cables are even remotely worth their asking price.” That I am not a member of the 1% for whom spending this sort of money is a no-brainer must have been perfectly obvious to Mr. Gunter. He made no fuss over my pecuniary quibbles and instead extended an olive branch: suggesting I first audition the lower priced Sharkwire Bull Shark series. If I found them to be worthy, then write about it. If not, simply return them and forget the whole thing. Somewhat reluctantly, I agreed.
TEO Audio Liquid Cables Review

Pertaining to aesthetic matters, I strongly suggest if you have issues about the appearance of cables which might have an airborne loop or emerge from above the back of a component that you get over it, because should you not be able to handle such minor perturbations, you will have rejected a cable much finer sounding than the one you would buy in its place. But again, as a matter of practicality, if you are considering TEO cables be sure that you can have a good amount of connection space, both vertical and horizontal, at the back of the component or speakers for attachment of the cables.

The Legacy Whisper is not marketed by Legacy Audio as a speaker with prodigious LF, yet I heard subwoofer-like impact from them. I enjoy the bouncy, upbeat feel of the group Swing Out Sister, as they usually have a strong, driving bass line to propel the songs. It has taken a long time and many changes to approach the impact of a subwoofer with this stacked 15” open driver array of the Whisper. I have had powerful amps such as the Pass Labs X600.5 and extreme quality preamps like the VAC Signature Preamplifier Mk2 pushing these speakers, yet they were not able to elicit a sensation of a larger subwoofer.

In the final analysis I found the Sharkwire Bull Shark to be among the best cables I have heard (in my downstairs rig) at allowing the music to flow unfettered and unforced, yet at the same time, present the music with such vitality and detail. It was only through their addition that I found myself leaning more toward a softer, airier and more gentile presentation offered by G9 Audio’s compliment of push/pull KT120 tubes. However, the addition of the Sharkwire Bull Shark added more zest and zeal to my all tube setup than I would have believed possible. Again, frequency extremes reach further out with a increase in both speed and articulation I have not experienced prior from this rig.

“The Takumi cable is based on the principal and balance, removing imperfections and using the highest grade materials. Featuring a mix of gold-silver, silver-alloy and copper the company the cable is the subjected to a burnin process called HQT 100 which is said to greatly reduce the time to burn the cable from new (again subjective). Leading out from the jack point (of which I chose a chrome 3.5mm Oyaide unit) there is a stunning flat Octo braided cable”

” Linum cables are so light that they can’t even keep the welterweight Ultrasone IQ from immediately drooping to your belly button. If you’re heading to a festival, or casual business meeting, your options are: drop the earphones in a shirt pocket, or put them in a case. Linum cables present loads of talking points,”
