64 AUDIO ADEL U12 $1600 REVIEW

“Soundstage width is really impressive. It’s much more than average compared to most IEM’s out there but I can’t say this about the depth. Stage is kinda close to you, but really wide. It gives an open feeling, even with the dark sound signature. If it had more depth, it would be more relaxed but that’s what we have. Overall, I think the soundstage is excellent thanks to the great width.”

“I finally want to then show the measurements I took of Josh’s unit before it was made into mine on middle bass settings and as you can see it is pretty consistent with my pair with just a bit more of a dip between 200Hz and 1kHz (probably down too bass dial position being slightly higher since more mid bass). The only major difference is better channel matching!”

Cardas A8 Ear Speakers $299 – Review

” Things were going so well, I brought out one of my long-term in-ear references, the Sennheiser IE800 ($800) to pit against the A8. These two sound very different; the A8’s bass goes a lot deeper, without any loss of definition or low-end clarity. Dynamics are more viscerally felt over the A8; it’s a higher-energy headphone. But the IE800’s midrange sounds more refined and natural, and the treble is sweeter. The IE800’s sound is closer to neutral but less exciting to listen to.”

FINAL AUDIO DESIGN PIANO FORTE VIII $1000 – REVIEW

“Lows – I thought the low end might lack somewhat given that this is an open earphone. I was wrong. Again textures and detail are front and centre is the name of the game. As mentioned above there was no discernable bleed into the midrange. The dynamic drivers push out a more than sufficient level of rich bass. Sub bass is there but not in large quantities and I don’t feel I am lacking anything for the type of music I would choose to listen to on these IEM’s.”

TFZ SERIES 1 Review

“Obviously a big positive to IEMs with this sort of design is ergonomics and comfort. That is not to say all manufacturers get it right but TFZ seem to have ended up on the right side. This looks like a CIEM in my ear and don’t feel far off in terms of comfort either. BA based earphones also tend to be the better option if you desire isolation as they traditionally don’t need venting like dynamic drivers but the Series 1 will block out most ambient noise, no issue.”
