Rosson Audio RAD-0 Headphones – A Breathtakingly Musical, Aesthetically Customizable Headphone!
Despite the world that is swirling madly around, there is a wealth of riches about us in the form of millions of songs, available to all manner of electronic device, at home or on the go. And coupled with the growing array of playback devices and their next generation capabilities, there is a lot for us music lovers to be grateful for. That is, if we like the monk, who is chased by the tiger, brings awareness to the moment in order to stop and happily consume the strawberry before him.
The Rosson Audio RAD-0 is, without doubt, one of the most brilliantly engineered, astonishingly musical, incredibly transparent, and extended planar magnetic headphones that we have had the opportunity to review. And, of course, we are pleased to both very highly recommend it and to award to the The Rosson Audio RAD-0 our “GOLD KEYNOTE” AWARD. Kudos to Alex Rosson and the design team!”

DROP HIFIMAN HE-5XX REVIEW
November 14, 2020 Comments Off on DROP HIFIMAN HE-5XX REVIEW
The HE-5XX’s low-end sits on the leaner side of the equation. It doesn’t provide any real sense of the speaker-like bass of the HE-500, and nor is it felt in any kind of physical way. Rather, the HE-5XX offers a well-extended and articulate, snappy bass that doesn’t tend to roll away until it reaches 40 Hz. Thundercat’s hard-hitting bass in ‘Show You The Way’ is impressively deft on the HE-5XX, and doesn’t yield a hint of flab nor the ‘one-note’ bass that older HIFIMANs can venture into. It’s certainly not lacking in its ability to reproduce bass notes, but the HE-5XX is simply not a bass-head’s headphone – it’s been designed with a different sort of voicing in mind. I can’t help but think that with a different set of pads that create a better seal, that the HE-5XX would actually produce greater levels of bass – the ingredients are certainly in there.

HIFIMAN DEVA WIRED REVIEW

Extensive, airy, energetic. This is the portrait DEVA draws for me. Some may find the bite a tad excessive, but with the right source selection, this becomes an advantage for PRaT. The attack & decay of transients are impressive to say the least. Treble does not feel artificial just like the rest of the spectrum. It stays true to tone and stays within the limits of the excellent coherency DEVA possesses. Crashes and upper piano keys have very definitive texture to them. The overall treble presentation is clear and well-done like the rest of the spectrum.”

ERZETICH THALIA REVIEW

Erzetich Thalia surely surprised me with its musical and dark approach with fantastic tonality and realistic performance. It reminds me of the legendary HD650 with that dark approach to music. It’s all about music and enjoyment with this headphone. Other than its great sound, it has a unique design with its genuine wood cups, all hand-made assembly, and an authentic look.

Focal Utopia Phones Flagship Review

”
As you take the Utopias out of their supplied carrying case, you’ll quickly notice the high level of fit and finish these headphones offer – just like a pair of Grande Utopia Ems. Everything is machined to a standard that you might expect from an F1 car or fine wristwatch. With Focal, engineering and craftsmanship always serves the art. Beautiful to behold, yes. But remarkable to listen to.”

Audeze LCD-1 headphones Review
October 13, 2020 Comments Off on Audeze LCD-1 headphones Review
“The sound the LCD-1 produce is more approachable to the average ear than other studio monitors without sacrificing the detail that audiophiles are looking for. They do all this while being more reserved in the highs than the Grado Hemp Headphones (no near-aching treble), but more robust in the lows than the M-200s (more rigidly neutral).
Though the design does mean that the soundstage is opened up when compared to closed-back designs, these do not isolate sound well at all for either you or anyone around you. These in particular blast music out the sides at a considerable volume, so if you plan to use these in any shared space, just know everyone around you can hear what you hear as clear as you can. My wife works in the next room and she can clearly hear the words to the songs I listen to from that far away.”
