” It’s meant to improve the sound of lower bitrate recordings and it does just that, to a certain extent. The feature adds more high-frequency reach and makes the presentation notably more spacious. The effects are more pronounced the lower the bit rate, as a listen to a 192kbps file of Eminem’s Stan shows.”

” I still used the iPeng 8 app to control playback and the contents of my NAS showed up alongside internally stored music. Nice. So you can mix and mingle and create playlists from both sources with ease. It was also frankly very nice to be able spend some more time listening through the Antipode/”

” The mids are perfectly in line with the bass and are presented in the most musical way. I find the mids section to have good width with a good level of detail and feeling. The mids always flow and no matter if you’re listening to metal, Indy rock or jazz, they’re always a pleasure to listen to.”

” Bluetooth (or just powering up the headset) adds in noise cancellation, which works surprisingly well. I’m relatively used to NoiseGuard (my preferred noise cancellers are Sennheiser PXC450s) and the cancellation on the Momentum seems every bit as effective.”

MARTINLOGAN BALANCED FORCE 210 SUBWOOFER $2995 REVIEW

http://goo.gl/KyrCfT Read Here

“I can’t claim that the MartinLogan Balance Force 210s are the end-alls in low-end reproduction, or that they will fool you into thinking there is an actual standup or electric bass sitting in your living room. What I can say is that they have brought me much closer to the real thing and made me a believer in subwoofing. Now that the 210s are in my listening room, my music—and not just music where bass is prominent—has taken on a new life. ”

” My time with the Emerald Physics EP4.7 loudspeakers has been extremely enjoyable. It’s actually quite a remarkable achievement to build a speaker that combines so many wonderful attributes, combining innovative technologies, attractive styling, and wonderful sonics all in a product that is a flat-out bargain compared to a lot of what I just saw a few months ago at CES.”

Simaudio Moon Evolution 740P line preamplifier Review

” ; the preamp does its work at extremely low levels that, by themselves, are nearly inaudible; any noise it contributes will be hugely magnified further down the chain. As you may have noticed from my summary, nearly all of the technical features highlighted in the 740P’s manual are claimed to reduce vibrations, distortions, and noise of all kinds. Perhaps this accounts for the 740P’s transparency.”

MUSICAL FIDELITY MF-200 – REVIEW

http://goo.gl/KuS9Jm Read Here

“Vocals are forward and fresh with good separation. However, do not expect romantically soft, voluminous and lush mids. The details are amazing; depending on the record they can be a bit edgy, though. This is apparent with modern records that have little dynamic range and push the volume too high. The upper mids/ lower treble has a pronunciation that retrieves a lot of information, gives an airy sound, but can also cause fatigue when used extensively. The upper treble is very well extended.”

T-PEOS ALTONE 200 IEM – REVIEW

May 11, 2015 Comments Off on T-PEOS ALTONE 200 IEM – REVIEW

http://goo.gl/x4SgvY Read Here

” These are not a reference IEM by any means; they’re meant to be enjoyed. Unfortunately, it does not extend as far as other IEMs can which eats away some of its airiness and microdetails and keeps it from being a top-tier IEM. Cymbal decay is the easiest way to discern how well an IEM handles treble detail and the Altone 200 comes just short of resolving the harmonics something like the UERM or even the Hifiman RE600 or DUNU DN2000 can.”
