” There’s plenty of insight here, from the way the trailing edges of the piano notes fade gracefully into silence to the Bronze 2s’ ability to track subtle pace changes. It’s a spellbinding performance, out of keeping from what we normally hear at this level.”

“There’s no fundamental change to the Jamos’ tonal balance – it remains on the lean side of neutral – but the C103s are a better, more convincing listen this way.”
KHARMA ELEGANCE S7-S SIGNATURE $21,750 – REVIEW

“The Kharma may very well be the zenith of the two-way floorstander, but it still has its limits, modest though they are. It will be at its effortless best in medium-sized to smaller spaces where it can tap a little extra low end via wall reinforcement. I mentioned earlier the slightly distant audience perspective, and have concluded that there is a narrow frequency dip in the presence range that softens energy there a bit.”

” Quite recently I enjoyed a lot reviewing relatively inexpensive, amazingly dynamic shelf-speakers by Canadian Bryston. I didn’t think then that so soon after I would have chance to listen to another, even smaller speakers, offering even more impressive performance. In this case it is not about dynamics and fun that make performance so enjoyable, but, as one would expect from much more expensive speakers, about sophistication and coherence of the presentation.”

” “The smaller profile of the slot makes it easier to accommodate on the relatively busy front panel but at the same time the cross-sectional area is fairly high. This gives plenty of venting potential to the cabinet but also slows down the air as it leaves which should avoid the chuffing effect that can mar the performance of small speakers. Equally, keeping the port on the front means that the AE101 should be happier used nearer to rear walls than rival designs with a rear port. This means that the 101 should be happier on shelves and in alcoves than some rivals.”

” The Kensington GRs can be biwired, and they benefit from that, sounding more precise and lucid when used this way. As with other Tannoys there’s an additional terminal next to the two pairs of signal inputs, the use of which (wired to the ground-pin on your amplifier) results in a cleaner, crisper presentation.”
Adamante 2 Review

” The bass is very much extended, weighty and powerful all in the proper proportions. The LF simply don’t turn the overall sound dark. Despite their true anchoring, the overall sonic quality remains light(filled). I’d not call it airy per se. That often relies on bass of insufficient gravity. If such verbal fencing should drive it home, the Adamante had cubits of air but this quality didn’t become airiness due to sharing equal playtime with a chunky dense midrange and grounded bass of substance. This airiness wasn’t tacked on. It wasn’t separate. It was enfolded like TV chefs talk of folding stiffly beaten egg whites into a batter to make a soufflé. Those whipped egg-white textures were through and through. They weren’t just on top like chantilly cream floating on hot chocolate.”
ART ALNICO 8 FLOORSTANDING LOUDSPEAKERS £10,000/pair – REVIEW

“It still sounded a little forward, but this brought out more of the sparkle: so long as I stuck with the better recordings, things were pretty dandy. On Fleetwood Mac’s classic ‘Oh Daddy’ [Rumours, 24/96 HD Tracks], the drum snare is brought to the fore, as is the electric guitar, but the bass is attractively lush with lots of timbre. ”
