It’s just that its bigger (and twice as powerful) brother is even more versatile, even more capable when it comes to a wider range of speakers. That in turn relates directly to the choice of output tubes and the way the EL34 sounds. As I’ve already said, the ’34 is remarkably seamless, top to bottom.”
