” The treble response is smooth and detailed, while the midrange is neutral, both areas depending of course on the quality of the signal fed to the speakers. Importantly, played loud with good recordings, nothing grates on the ears… no hint of glare or brightness, or any lumpiness in the lows.”

HiFiMan RE300h In-Ear Earphone Review

” The RE300h takes the HiFiMan house sound and makes it more consumer-friendly by skewing the usual near-neutral balance in a warmer, bassier direction. In 2009 – three generations back in HiFiMan terms – the RE1 model attempted something similar but it was pricier and suffered from relatively low efficiency, which made it less well-suited for the mainstream consumer. The RE300h has no such problems – it’s easy to drive and the bassy and forgiving sound signature feels right at home at $50.”

MOLA MOLA MAKUA AND KALUGA review

” The combination was certainly able to produce high sound pressure levels, make no mistake. The frequency range they reproduced was wide and reasonably uniform.
Starting with the bass, it was quite extended but I have missed some control across the entire bass range and especially in the upper bass/kick drum area where the Kalugas sounded somewhat lean and anaemic..”

“The screen lacks the ability to show artwork as well. This may not be a big deal to some listeners but viewing an album’s artwork while listening to the album would be a nice option. And unlike some of the competition, the HA-90SD does not offer Bluetooth (or Wi-Fi) streaming to a wireless speaker system, like for example, the Astell & Kearn AK-100 Mark II.”

“This couple of players definitely has the sense of the rhythm. It is apparent while listening to “Girl Talk” by Oscar Peterson (SACD Universal). The recording by Hans Georg Brunner-Schwer gives us a pleasant piano and drum cymbals very accurate. The charleston seems to be right here between the loudspeakers. ”

LABKABLE CUSTOM IEM CABLE REVIEW:

“It comes with an octo braid tubed design as opposed to the Takumi’s flat cable design. The cable is designed to be extremely low impedance using a combination of silver wire along with low resistance solder. The Blue Horizon cable has also received a special anti-oxidation coating in order to stop discolouration and degradation over the long term. In use now it has been my go to for when out and about sound is crystal clear just as it should be.”

VIVID AUDIO GIYA G3 LOUDSPEAKER REVIEW

” Living with the Giyas for a number of weeks, I could not pick an overt fault with these truly magnificent speakers. They imaged better than our reference Wilson Sashas, and while the G3’s bass was not as powerful or deep (we’re comparing twin 135mm drivers with twin 200mm drivers), it was just a tad faster and a smidgen more detailed. The Sashas shot ahead in terms of dynamic expression and top-end detail, while the G3’s D50 domes could not match the power and slam of the bespoke 165mm driver in the Wilson.”

ACS Encore IEM Review

” My first impressions of these and one that has continued through this day is that these are a bassy earphone. Initially this was fairly surprising as I had heard the Evoke and Evolve at ACS’s labs and both had great balance but this has a clear focus on mid bass but continues with some solid extension down low”
