Gordon Simmonds, CEO of LMG parent company The Lenbrook Group, added: “These developments confirm our instincts around this team and the value of the IP. While the choice and accessibility of MQA content remains a priority for us, this was never about a single codec.”

Lenbrook says initial response from the industry has been positive.

“We are inspired by the reactions of our partners who are incorporating these technologies into their products,” said Mike Jbara, vice president and general manager of Lenbrook Media Group. “This is a milestone moment for us. Vitus RI-101 Mk.II streaming integrated amplifier $20,000 Review

June 30, 2024 Comments Off on Vitus RI-101 Mk.II streaming integrated amplifier $20,000 Review

The RI-101 Mk.II’s simple and elegant front includes a relatively narrow, recessed central panel with a display that indicates input and volume. Framing it on each side are larger panels, available in contrasting colors. The left panel contains input, menu, and standby buttons; the right includes two up/down volume buttons—there is no volume knob—and a third button for mute. The menu button allows you to custom name inputs, set the initial volume setting for different inputs, turn the small Vitus logo and off, adjust illumination, engage auto-standby, and more. In this sense, the RI-101 Mk.II is very au courant. Once you select a menu option, the up and down buttons adjust parameters. I made my life simple by sticking to the factory default settings.

CYRUS AUDIO TTP TURNTABLE $5,800 REVIEW

June 30, 2024 Comments Off on CYRUS AUDIO TTP TURNTABLE $5,800 REVIEW

Below the plinth are three adjustable feet, so you can ensure the turntable is level. These feet can also be removed and replaced but, considering just how heavy and inert the plinth is, I’d be surprised if you would hear any improvement with aftermarket feet.

This is a very good-looking turntable in my opinion. The machined aluminum on the top of the plinth has a warm textured pattern that catches and diffuses light. The company’s logo is featured prominently in white just below the tonearm’s cartridge position.

Power to the Cyrus Audio TTP Turntable was provided by a PSX-R PSU power brick supplied with the table, which is suitable for 90-264V operation (50/60Hz). This PSU features a low-consumption standby mode for sustainable operation. When in use, power from the PSU is routed internally to the motor drive stage to provide an even more stable, ultra-low noise power supply for the turntable motor.

Magico S3 Review

The Espen Eriksen Trio/Andy Sheppard’s recording of ‘In The Mountains’, from the album of the same title [Rune Grammophon RCD2227] was a perfect choice for Magico’s S3 2023 to set out its stall – the immediate impression being of presence and three-dimensionality, along with fine instrumental timbres, especially in Sheppard’s sax. Similarly, Anaïs Reno’s atmospheric Live At Pizza Express, on the venue’s own PX Records label [PXRCD1008], arrived with all its ambience intact. It was a real ‘you are there’ experience, with Reno’s voice almost tangible.
The recent Lang Lang Saint-Saëns album [Deutsche Grammophon 4875019] is so deceptively easy to listen to via these speakers that it’s easy to overlook the sheer amount of information on offer, from the scale and delicacy of the soloist’s piano to the accompanying orchestra. There was a lovely light airiness to the woodwind in the ‘Aviary’ section, plus tight control of the plucked strings, while the ‘Fossils’ section proved joyous with its xylophone and exuberant finale.

Epos ES-14N Loudspeakers $4500 Review

June 28, 2024 Comments Off on Epos ES-14N Loudspeakers $4500 Review

https://www.audiophilia.com/reviews/2024/4/29/epos-es-14n-loudspeakers

Thus, a very warm recommendation from me. Most people, even ardent audiophiles can’t push to afford super speakers, so, in the real world these resolving, powerful speakers are a very good value at $4500/pair (stands incl.) No matter the genres you listen to, the Epos ES-14N can do the job efficiently and musically. Before making any buying decisions based on reviews, marketing, expectations, etc, schedule an audition with your favourite records and CDs. I think you’ll be very impressed.
