ECHOBOX FINDER X1 UNIVERSAL-FIT EARPHONES REVIEW
November 13, 2016 Comments Off on ECHOBOX FINDER X1 UNIVERSAL-FIT EARPHONES REVIEW
” First, I would urge Echobox to offer more differentiation between their medium and large-size silicone ear tips; in our samples the size M and L tips were so close in size that there was almost no difference between the two. Second, I would like to see the X1 earpieces stretched out to slightly greater length to better accommodate listeners (like me) whose ear canals are very deeply set. Greater length would also make the earpieces easier to grasp for insertion and removal. Please note, though, that these two wish-list items are just that: ideas for enhancing what is already a superb, value-priced earphone.”

Noble Custom K10 Review

“A Wizard design clearly doesn’t come cheap but the K10 are TOTL monitors and most people will only buy a monitor like this once in their life time. Like my friend said: “I’m already spending this much on an inear, why not go all the way? I’m only doing this once.” I told him that was a dangerous statement to make, we’ll see who’s right in the end.”

Audio Trend Report Finds Sound Quality Matters

” Asked to rate sound quality among different devices, survey respondents gave the highest ratings to wired speakers and headphones (18% each) and the lowest to wireless headphones and speakers (5 and 3%, respectively). Qualcomm said the research shows that 58% of consumers want to use Bluetooth for music listening but do not think sound quality is good enough, while only 23% are “very satisfied” with the sound quality of wireless headphones.”

Sony MDR-1000X Review

” You don’t even need to take off the cans to realize just how effective the technology is, thanks to another feature unique to the Sense Engine called “Quick Attention”. Cupping your fingers over the touchpad instantly turns the volume down and lets in the outside world, allowing you to engage someone in conversation. Bring your hand back down and the music is re-instated to its prior volume. It’s genuinely useful for situations in which you’d usually be apt to take off the headphones – when a fight attendant offers you refreshments, for example.”

” It all adds up to a competent and capable pair of speakers, but not necessarily ones that have us rushing home to get a fresh musical fix every evening.”

JOMO AUDIO JOMO6 V2 REVIEW
November 11, 2016 Comments Off on JOMO AUDIO JOMO6 V2 REVIEW
“With three of six drivers dedicated to low frequencies, one would be excused to fear a bass-heavy earphone. But this is not the case. In fact, the new Jomo6 has perceptively less bass than most of my earphones even though I have very few monitors with v-shaped signatures. On some tracks, I wouldn’t even mind a bit more punch and slam.”

MCINTOSH MC275 VI POWER AMPLIFIER AND C22 PREAMPLIFIER REVIEW

“The loudness circuit in the C22 is as close to perfect as you can get, and I used it frequently for late-night listening, where it made the sound more natural, more satisfying, and more pleasurable because it was more realistic in the areas of tonal accuracy and balance”

Focal Sopra N°2 Floorstanding Speakers $14,000 Review
November 10, 2016 Comments Off on Focal Sopra N°2 Floorstanding Speakers $14,000 Review
” A personal downside for me–but really more of a compliment to the Focal Sopra N°2s speakers–is the fact that my room’s acoustic flaws are obvious to astute listeners (myself being the most notable), in that the speaker is so resolved and revealing. I often don’t want to roll down the Crestron shade to make the first-order reflections sound less pronounced on the right side of the room because I want to enjoy my view, too.”
