”
Having listened to several generations of ESL speakers over the past 15 to 20 years, I found the new Expression ESL 13A speakers to be a significant step forward. The greatly improved bass technology makes positioning the speakers without sacrificing bass performance much easier to do, and the improved panels somehow manage to squeeze out even more details from the music than prior iterations–the combination of which is a detailed and transparent speaker that gets out of the way of your music.”

“The process is simple and quick. It involves declaring the product to be tested and then sending it to one of the testing houses where engineers run wireless performance tests to ensure the product meets WiSA quality and transmission requirements. Components that pass receive a certificate and permission to use the WiSA logo under the terms in our agreement.”

Coincident Dynamite Floorstanding Speaker $2999 Review

” Once again I pushed aside the listening chair and mounted my Radio Shack SPL meter on my tripod, right between where my ears were positioned, slightly below the level of the tweeters. The measurements validated some important perceptions I have of the Dynamite. First, a peak in the upper bass region is a room related peak that appears in all my speaker measurements. The bass is strong, as I heard, but also goes down to 32 Hz before falling off significantly. Others have had similar results and the website now reflects these findings. ”

VORZÜGE VORZAMP DUOII REVIEW

“Most of my music reaches nowhere near as low as does Mainstage. As a result setting DUOII’s EQ to the second position returns nothing but clean, massive bass and around a 2dB uptick in highs. It’s not so much a v-shaped curve as it is a mellowed, and lop-sided U-curve. Because it doesn’t engage mid or high bass frequencies, it never reverbs, or splashes. Nor does it boom.”

Hofa Diffusors
February 16, 2017 Comments Off on Hofa Diffusors
Because the paintings covered a very large portion of the walls I ordered 8 Hofa Diffusors rightaway with the idea of combining them into a 2 meter by 1 meter area above the audio system. I should also note that the sound of the Divas, perhaps due to their dipole nature, even without any treatment, is very good. At the listening position there is no peakyness in the bass, nor any evidence of room modes. However, when standing in the room talking, especially when near the system, with the bare walls there is a peak in the midrange where the sound lingers on just too long and voices sound somewhat hollow. Some would refer to this as echo, but it is actually more like reverb. It is this hollowness that I aimed to address with these panels and it was my hope that the overall performance of sound via the Divas might also improve in the process.”
