The Martian’s bass signature is not what you expect it to be for a dual dynamic. Sure it hits hard, excellent bass in both depth and body but it is very controlled and articulate and it honestly is not the first thing that hits you when you start listening to them. It is an incredibly likable bass response with an elevated sub-bass tuning rather than a curt mid-bass slam so you never feel it dominating or bleeding into the midrange.”

” The sound does quickly become one of the biggest differentiators between the two IEMs. The One has a warmer and richer sound while still maintaining good balanced throughout. I do notice it to also have quite a relaxed treble. On the other hand the 2 is much lighter and airier, probably from the noticeably better treble extension and a bit more energy near 10kHz. It is certainly the more agile and detailed model.”

“The Tenor rendered the entire Capriccio Italien performance with flying colours – portraying every instrument with proper weight, scale, timber and texture. Even on the demanding passages, which can easily become trashy, garbled messes with a lesser component, the Tenor maintained proper contrast with clear identifiable distinction of every instrument in the acoustic space – nothing was garbled. The dynamic contrast, weight and solidity of the holographic image, is reminiscent of the Burmester 100 Phono Preamp, but the Tenor adds a greater transient response with a wider frequency extension. It instills more vibrancy and impact to sound making an already intense performance even more exhilarating and lifelike.”
