“I have come to appreciate just how good Ayon products are; the line has something for everyone and I have yet to be in the presence of any of their gear and not been pleased and impressed because I have always been presented with quality and sonic delivery that made for a very good value at all levels for the asking price. The Titans are no exception to the Ayon rule. Definitely the pinnacle of their line the amps and they hold that distinction with well deserved pride and honor. If you are looking for a high end, top of the line set of monoblock amplifiers to live out the rest of your life with you might be able to find some others that will please you but I seriously doubt you would find any better at any price. If that sounds like where you are in your audio journey I suggest you run to audition a pair!”

“The QP2R still sports the slightly dated navigational wheel which is said to be an improvement over the original, how I’m not exactly sure but it works. To each corner of the scrolling wheel are 4 additional touch screen buttons that function as a home, return and left & right key. The design hasn’t changed from Questyle’s first venture so remains stylish and luxurious to both the eyes and touch.”

“Conclusion: For the price there are more powerful amp combos out there, but few offer the digital filters this DAC has. And also few are running the newer ESS9038Pro chip, which provides excellent sound quality. Use as a standalone DAC is outstanding for the price, it surpasses my JDS Labs EL DAC in sheer detail retrieval and absolute neutrality, whereas the EL DAC is ever so slight smoother and a little less focussed on absolute transparency like the DA9.1.
The DA9.1 has an ok built in headphone amp, it drives most headphones well, and the adjustable output impedance is great with certain high impedance loads. This little unit has tons of features for the price, and I can easily recommend it if you are after absolute neutrality and a clean sounding DAC/Amp.”

When either purchased as a kit or fully assembled, to my knowledge there are no speakers that deliver the sheer likeability, musicality, and tonality that these do at anywhere near their asking price. “As an acid test, I played Beethoven’s 5th Symphony by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Herbert von Karajan. This is the 1960s rendition, which remains a firm recommendation. The Planar 6 with the Exact cartridge played this to perfection, with crescendos sounding earth shattering and the orchestra portrayed realistically. The exaggerated stereo of those 60s recordings was very enjoyable too! The Exact cartridge is excellent for classical music, being very quiet in the groove and with very low, almost negligible, inner-groove distortions.”

“Noontec has become well known for offering very good sound quality and the Hammo are no exception. The sound is fairly neutral with a slight prominence to the low end and an overall smooth and clean output. I am not sure I would use them as my studio monitors as I prefer a very flat sound for that and the emphasis here is far more geared to the enjoyment of music than out and out monitoring. The could, of course, be used in such a scenario but I much prefer them as a day to day headphone when listening for pleasure.”
